  • HONEY GINGER ICED GREEN TEA

    6 green tea bags
    6 cups water
    3 oz. fresh sliced ginger, unpeeled
    1/2 cup honey
    Lemon wedges, to garnish, optional

    Bring water to a boil. Add the ginger and tea bags. Allow to steep for 15 minutes. Strain out tea bags and ginger. Mix in honey. Pour in a pitcher. Chill. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon wedges, if desired.
  • ICED TEA PUNCH

    1 1/3 cup boiling water
    4 regular tea bags
    1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
    1 cup grapefruit juice
    1 cup orange juice
    1/2 cup lemon juice
    Sugar or honey, to taste
    4 cups ginger ale
    2 cups ice water

    Steep tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove bags and discard. Combine with rest of ingredients and chill well. Makes 2 1/2 quarts.
  • THROAT-SOOTHING TEA

    1/2 of a lemon, juiced
    6 slices of fresh ginger
    3 cloves chopped garlic
    1 T. honey

    Boil a cup or water. Steep the garlic and ginger for 10 minutes. Strain, then add the lemon juice and honey. Very soothing on a tender throat!
